Bobby Gossett is an entry-level professional competing in national solo-driver championships across SCCA club racing and the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin, with a rating of 3,380. He races spec Mazda MX-5 Miatas and small-bore production-based tuner cars in the multiclass SCCA Majors and Regionals, and MX-5 Cup cars for BSI Racing in the single-class Whelen series. His record spans four seasons from 2023 to the present.[1]

Across SCCA Majors, Gossett has taken four wins and eleven podiums from 38 starts. In SCCA Regionals he has been stronger still, scoring eleven wins and seventeen podiums from 28 starts. His Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup campaign with BSI Racing has yielded one win and three podiums from 22 starts through three seasons. He has made three starts in the SCCA Runoffs, the national-level event held annually. In the 2026 Whelen season so far, across six rounds raced to date, he has taken one win and holds fourth in the championship standings with rounds remaining.[2]

In SCCA club racing, Gossett typically finishes ahead of Ellie Gossett, a competitive amateur who has raced alongside him in all three series they share. He usually finishes behind Noah Harmon, an entry-level professional who races at his level across the same three series and brings 40 SCCA Majors starts and 23 in the Whelen Cup. Against stronger opposition, Gossett has beaten Earl Bamier, an established professional and Platinum-graded IMSA champion with seventy-nine WeatherTech starts, three times; and Sebastien Bourdais, a Platinum-graded professional with 152 IndyCar starts, twice. His 2026 campaign includes a victory at Mid-Ohio in the Whelen series.
