Darin Matthews was an entry-level professional racing in the ARCA Menards Series, a national single-class oval championship that fields amateur and professional drivers together. He competed for Maeco, Inc. across two seasons, from 2013 to 2014.[1]
Matthews made three starts on the ARCA oval circuit. He finished 30th in the 2014 championship standings. In his limited racing he occasionally finished ahead of other entry-level professionals including Maryeve Dufault and Tyler Speer, though he typically ran behind Grant Enfinger, who would go on to win the 2015 ARCA title, and Spencer Gallagher, a professional with substantial experience across ARCA, the NASCAR Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.[2]
