Neal Frank was a club-level amateur racer who competed in one season of NASA Mazda Miata racing in 2012. His rating of 1,099 places him in the developing band, the entry level of competitive racing; he was substantially slower than most of his rivals and typically finished near the back of his fields. Across three starts, Frank achieved two podium finishes but won no races, averaging a third-place finish in classified results. His competitive record shows mixed performance against his most frequent rivals. He outpaced Nicolas Aretakis (rated 1,287) and Ethan Loree (rated 1,654) on two occasions each, and consistently beat Roger Hively and David Dalton, both rated at the developmental level. However, Kyle Watkins (rated 1,252) finished ahead of him in all three races they shared, illustrating the inconsistency typical of drivers at this level.[1]
