David Dalton was a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, a multiclass road-racing championship that runs its field across 15 classes in a single race. His career consisted of 27 starts in the Spec Miata class, which runs stock Mazda MX-5 Miatas, over seven seasons from 2006 to 2013.[1]
Dalton took one win and two podiums across his NASA career, finishing 89th in the championship standings in his final season of 2013. He raced most often against Nicolas Aretakis and Mark Franklin, both regular NASA competitors whom Dalton typically finished behind. He beat club-level drivers Michael Globe once and Phil Cummings twice over the course of his career.[2]
