🇩🇪 Michael Globe

Michael Globe is a club-level driver who raced in American single-class and multiclass sprint championships between 2010 and 2021. He competed primarily in NASA's Mazda MX-5 Cup, where he drove for Mazda Global across 38 starts, and also raced in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin for Slipstream Performance. His rating of 1,446 places him at club level, describing a driver competing against a mixed field of amateurs and semi-professionals with occasional graded professionals.[1]

Globe took one win and four podiums across 79 starts. His single victory came in NASA competition. Most of his career was spent in Mazda MX-5 racing; he also contested PCA Club Racing in 2012–2014, racing Porsches in two classes. His most recent season was 2021 in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, where he finished 25th in the championship standings across eight rounds.[2]

Globe's regular competition included entry-level professionals and competitive amateurs; he usually finished behind Hernan Palermo, an entry-level professional with 89 NASA starts, and Trevor McCallion, a competitive amateur who had raced NASA over 200 times. He finished ahead of established professional Connor Zilisch, a Gold-graded driver with NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series experience, once; he also beat professional Michael Dinan, a Silver-graded driver with IMSA and WEC credentials, once in their meetings in Mazda MX-5 competition.
