🇺🇸 John Shoffner

John Shoffner is a professional endurance racing driver competing at FIA Bronze grade, a classification used for amateur and gentleman drivers racing alongside professionals in sportscar and endurance events. He raced predominantly for GetSpeed Performance in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, sharing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars and other machinery across multiclass grids in Germany from 2014 to 2020. His record spans 40 starts across three series; his final two appearances came in the Nürburgring 24 Hours.[1]

Shoffner took four wins and fourteen podiums over seven seasons, the bulk of his racing concentrated in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2014 and 2018, where he accumulated 35 starts, 4 wins and 12 podiums in shared-car endurance racing. He also made three starts in NASA's Spec Miata class in 2014 and raced the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019 and 2020, the latter for Frikadelli Racing Team. His record in endurance racing places him mid-field against a field mixing semi-professional regulars with established professionals; he was closely matched with semi-professional opponents Georg Goder and Martin Schlüter over multiple seasons, and on occasion finished ahead of established professionals including Jörg Bergmeister and Dirk Werner, both FIA Platinum-graded drivers with extensive IMSA and WEC experience.[2]
