Richard Plotkin raced in amateur and semi-professional club racing across two seasons, competing in PCA Club Racing and NASA, both multiclass championships that mix amateur and professional drivers on the same track. He drove a Porsche 964 Carrera Cup in NASA's GTS5 class and raced Porsches in PCA Club Racing's GT2S class.[1]
His record spans three starts between 2006 and 2010. In his most active season, 2006 PCA Club Racing, he finished ninth in the championship standings across two rounds. He was a developing competitor racing against others at the same level; he typically finished behind David Buhain, a regular opponent, but beat developing drivers David Alpan and Sergio Nardi once each.[2]
