David Hooker is a developing driver racing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass sprint championships run by the SCCA. He competes in the B-Spec and T4 classes of SCCA Majors, the STL class of SCCA Regionals, and T4 in the SCCA Runoffs, driving near-stock economy hatchbacks and modern street cars. Hooker has been active since 2021 and remains an ongoing competitor.[1]
Across four seasons and 14 starts, Hooker has taken two podiums, both in SCCA Regionals in 2022. He has raced regularly against club and competitive amateur drivers; he usually finishes behind Kent Carter, a club-level regular in SCCA Majors and NASA, and Conner Kelleher, a competitive amateur who has competed in the Runoffs. Hooker has beaten Marc Cefalo, a semi-professional and four-time SCCA Majors T4 champion, once in their meetings, and Tyler Quance, a competitive amateur, once.[2]
