Marc Cefalo is a semi-professional competing in a national solo sprint series, racing Mazda Miatas and small-bore production-based cars in SCCA club competition. He drives for a Miata-focused operation. Across his career, Cefalo has completed 163 starts spanning 14 seasons from 2007 to 2026, with his heaviest concentration in SCCA club racing and NASA's Spec Miata class.[1]
Cefalo has won three consecutive SCCA Majors championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. His record across SCCA Majors stands at 24 wins from 66 starts with 41 podiums; in SCCA Regionals, he has taken 18 wins from 40 starts and 34 podiums. His NASA campaign has yielded 16 wins from 48 starts and 32 podiums in Spec Miata, while a brief endurance racing foray between 2017 and 2019 produced one win from four starts. He competed in the SCCA Runoffs five times between 2020 and 2025, recording one podium.[2]
In the club-level fields he races regularly, Cefalo typically finishes ahead of both Ken Williams, a regular SCCA Regionals and Majors competitor, and Nicole Cooper-Cefalo, a developing-level driver who competes across the same circuits. He has beaten Matthew Payne, an established professional and FIA Gold-graded driver who races the Supercars Championship, four times across their six meetings in SCCA Majors, and Robert Noaker, a professional who won the 2024 and 2025 Mustang Challenge championships, once in their single encounter.
