🏳️ Jeremy Butz

Jeremy Butz is a semi-professional racing in national amateur-mixed multiclass sprint series. His primary competition is SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, where he races spec Mazda MX-5 Miatas and near-stock production cars across SM, SMX, STL and T4 classes. He has recorded 117 starts across these series and NASA's Spec Miata championship since 2017, most recently competing in 2023.[1]

Butz has taken 10 wins and 43 podiums across his career, with the bulk of his success coming in SCCA Regionals, where he has won 8 races and finished on the podium 33 times in 51 starts. His SCCA Majors record shows 2 wins and 10 podiums in 57 starts. He contested SCCA Runoffs four times between 2021 and 2023, and raced NASA's Spec Miata class in 2017 with five starts.[2]

Butz finishes consistently ahead of developing drivers and club-level regulars. He usually beats Michael LaMaina, a developing driver with 110 Regionals starts, and Theodore Cahall, who won the SCCA Regionals STL championship three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025. On single occasions he has finished ahead of Matthew Payne, an established professional and FIA Gold driver with 99 Supercars starts, and Connor Zilisch, an established professional with an ARCA Menards East title and NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series experience.
