Robert Cahall is a club-level driver racing in SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, a pair of national multiclass championships in which 25 classes share the track in solo sprint racing. He drives Mazda MX-5 Miatas in the SM class and small-bore production-based tuner cars in the STL class. His results span five seasons from 2022 to the present.[1]
Cahall has taken two wins across 135 starts, with 15 podiums overall. He has raced SCCA Regionals steadily since 2022 and made six starts in SCCA Majors between 2023 and 2025. In the 2026 SCCA Regionals season now underway, he has scored one win and three podiums from 16 rounds to date and currently sits seventh in the championship standings.[2]
He races a field that mixes amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. Among his regular opponents are Theodore Cahall and John Hotz, both club and competitive-amateur level drivers respectively, whom Cahall usually finishes behind. His wins have come against entry-level professionals: Bobby Gossett, the 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup ND2 champion, and Olivier Piatek, the 2026 World Racing League GP1 East champion, each beaten once in their respective encounters.
