Rolf Schilder was a club-level driver who raced in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in which amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers share the track. He drove a modified production-based car in the SP 3 class for Car #723, making a single start in 2010.[1]
Schilder finished 33rd in the championship standings across the season, having completed one race. In that single outing he beat Karl Raab and Sebastian Lhomer, both competitive amateur drivers with considerably more experience in the series; Raab had 23 starts there and Lhomer 17. Car #723 fielded seven drivers across its racing history with no wins to its name, its strongest driver being Jakub Giermaziak, a professional competitor.[2]
