🇺🇸 Ethan Barker

Ethan Barker is an entry-level professional racing solo in American multiclass club and regional championships that mix amateur, semi-professional and graded professional entrants on the same grid. Most of his racing has come in production-based Mazda MX-5 Miata classes, principally Spec Miata in NASA and SM/SMX in SCCA Majors, backed by a season of SCCA Regionals in the FX and T4 classes. He currently drives for Nimbus Racing in the Zenith Racing Series.[1]

Across seven seasons from 2020 to 2026 his heaviest work has been in SCCA Majors, with thirty-five starts, two wins and eleven podiums spread across the SM, SMX and T4 classes. He has also been quick in NASA's Spec Miata and Super Touring 6 classes, taking eight wins and eight podiums from nineteen starts, and dominant at SCCA Regional level, with six wins and ten podiums from just ten starts in FX and T4. Elsewhere his record is thinner: a single podium in nine starts in US F4 for Velocity Racing Development, a win in four SVRA starts, three starts in Trans-Am TA2, and a podium in two SCCA Runoffs starts. In the 2026 Zenith Racing Series for Nimbus Racing he sits fourth in the standings through nine rounds so far, with two wins and six podiums, and the season is still in progress.[2]

His most frequent opposition includes Marc Cefalo, a semi-professional who has won the SCCA Majors T4 title four years running and has raced extensively across SCCA Majors, NASA and SCCA Regionals, and Vinnie Baratta, a competitive amateur with a heavy NASA and SCCA Majors record; Barker usually finishes behind both when they meet. Against stronger opposition he has had rarer but notable results, finishing ahead of Connor Zilisch, an FIA Gold-graded professional and 2025 NASCAR Xfinity champion, on two occasions, and of Linus Lundqvist, an FIA Gold-graded professional and 2022 Indy NXT champion, once. His main team, entered under the Mazda Miata banner, has also fielded Hannah Grisham, a professional driver.
