His record included finishes ahead of Graham Rahal, an established professional who would go on to race in IndyCar, and Jonathan Bomarito, a Platinum-graded professional in IMSA WeatherTech. Against his regular opponents, he was closely matched with John Faulkner, also an entry-level professional, but typically finished behind Ryan Justice, a professional competitor with significantly more Star Mazda experience.[2]
