Jason Alder is an entry-level professional who races solo single-seater cars in national United States championships that mix amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals. He currently drives for Stratus Racing in the Zenith Racing Series, and has previously competed in Formula Regional Americas and US F4 with Velocity Racing Development.[1]
Alder's largest body of work came in Formula Regional Americas across 2021 and 2022, where he started 21 races for four wins and eight podiums. In 2021 he also ran a full US F4 season with Velocity Racing Development, an established team whose drivers have included professional Max Taylor, taking five wins from fourteen starts, and made a single appearance that year in SCCA Majors' FX class among winged open-wheel formula cars. He returned in 2024 for three starts in SVRA's multiclass field. In 2026 he moved to the Zenith Racing Series with Stratus Racing, and through the rounds run so far has won five times and taken eight podiums, putting him first in the championship standings with the season still underway.[2]
Against his most frequent rivals, Alder typically finishes ahead of Hayden Bowlsbey, a semi-professional with starts in Formula Regional Americas, US F4 and the Ligier JS F4 Series, and runs closely with Nick Persing, an FIA Silver-graded professional who has also raced in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. His notable results include five finishes ahead of Noel Leon, who won the 2023 Euroformula Open championship, and one ahead of Kyffin Simpson, the FIA Gold-graded 2021 Formula Regional Americas champion who has since raced in IndyCar.
