Robert Brill was a developing-level driver whose rating of 972 places him in club racing, the entry level of competition with a real competition licence but typically racing against other amateur drivers rather than established professionals. His single season in the SCCA Regionals during 2022 comprised four starts that yielded two podium finishes but no wins, giving him an average finishing position of seventh across his classified races.[1]

Against his regular rivals in that brief campaign, Brill showed mixed results. He finished ahead of Darren Wassmus, a much weaker driver, in three of their four meetings, but was outpaced consistently by Randy Shaw, a semi-professional competitor, losing all three head-to-head encounters. His two podium finishes included one result ahead of Jonathan Edwards, a driver of similar rating, and one ahead of David Moreno, a more experienced semi-professional. These isolated performances against stronger competition were highlights of an otherwise learning campaign at club level before Brill's retirement from racing.
