Robert Davis is a developing-level driver racing in NASA, a multiclass national championship that mixes amateur and professional competitors in thirteen classes on the same track. He has raced the American Stock Car class with late model stock cars and the PTD and PTE classes with production-based street cars, recording six wins and fifteen podiums across 37 starts in the series between 2006 and 2021. He also made two starts in the Velocity Invitational, a single-class national championship, in 2026.[1]
Over his twelve seasons of indexed racing, Davis has finished ahead of professional-graded drivers including Eric Powell, who has competed in GT4 America, IMSA Pilot Challenge and the World Endurance Championship. He has been a regular competitor against Lee Papageorge, a 2016 NASA PTD champion and fellow developing-level driver, with results closely matched between them. Against Charles Buzzetti, a competitive amateur and two-time NASA 944 Spec champion with 171 NASA starts, Davis has generally finished behind. Davis currently sits 19th in the Velocity Invitational standings with two rounds raced so far in the 2026 season.[2]
