🇬🇧 Robert Gray

Robert Gray is a club-level driver, competing solo in American open-wheel racing and in multiclass sportscar endurance racing internationally. In SCCA competition he races the F5 and F6 classes, the latter run in cars powered by 600cc motorcycle or snowmobile engines, across the Majors, Regionals and Runoffs championships. He has also driven at the Bathurst 12 Hour for Volante Rosso Motorsport, entering both its INV class and its SIL class, which runs GT3 cars.[1]

Across five seasons on record, from 2021 to 2026, Gray has made twelve starts. His SCCA Majors record is the strongest of his solo outings, with two podiums from five starts, alongside three starts in the Runoffs and two in Regionals. At the Bathurst 12 Hour, a shared-car endurance race, he took a win in two starts for Volante Rosso Motorsport. His most recent recorded activity is the 2024 SCCA Runoffs.[2]

Gray's regular opposition in SCCA competition includes Keith Joslyn and David Lapham, both club-level or developing drivers against whom he usually finishes behind, in fields that at Majors level can run from amateurs to graded professionals sharing the same grid. Within that company he has finished ahead of James Weida, a competitive amateur with starts across Majors and Runoffs, and Steven Jondal, a club-level regular, once each.
