Robert Murillo races in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass amateur and professional championship where sixteen classes share the track in solo sprint racing. He drives Porsches in the 911CUP, GTC3, and SP911 classes. He is rated at club level, a competitive amateur standard, and has raced for over two decades; his current activity includes SCCA Regionals, where he has competed in the ITE class.[1]
Murillo has contested 80 starts in PCA Club Racing since 2004, taking 12 wins and 49 podiums across those rounds. He has also raced SCCA Regionals, where he has two starts and two podiums so far this season, which remains in progress. His record across both series stands at 82 starts, 12 wins, and 51 podiums. In PCA Club Racing he won club-level championships in 2013 and 2018.[2]
The fields he races in regularly include developing and club-level drivers; he usually finishes ahead of Behram Soonawala, a developing driver with extensive experience in both series, and runs closely matched against Andy Simpkinson, another club-level regular with over 100 PCA starts. Murillo has also beaten semi-professional opposition, including Andy Kwitowski, who competed across PCA, NASA, and SCCA Regionals, and Paul Georgeson, a competitive amateur with sixty PCA starts.
