Ron Harness is a developing amateur racer who competed in NASA's multiclass championship between 2008 and 2011, driving for team 123830. He raced across three of the series' classes: GTS2, which runs German sports cars; PTE, which runs production-based street cars; and Spec E30, which runs spec BMW E30s. Over four seasons he made 27 starts and took one podium finish.[1]
Harness finished 69th in the 2011 NASA championship standings in his final season of racing on record. His record shows regular competition against drivers at his own level, though he typically finished behind developing amateur Scott Neville and club-level driver Scott Clough, who were his most frequent opponents across the series. He took victories over competitive amateur Derek Welch twice and club racer Loren Trefethen twice, both of whom had more extensive racing histories in other championships.[2]
