Ross Cheever is a retired American race car driver and younger brother of Formula One driver and Indianapolis 500 champion Eddie Cheever. Born in Rome, Cheever spent much of his racing career competing in Japan, where he established himself as a successful competitor in open-wheel racing during the 1980s and 1990s. His international racing experience included appearances in Formula 3 Macau, where he made two starts between 1985 and 1987 driving for Funaki Racing, finishing 13th in his final appearance in 1987.[1]
Across his documented Formula 3 Macau campaign, Cheever recorded two starts without securing wins or podium finishes. His racing career reflected the competitive nature of international junior formula competition during that era, with his participation in multiple racing series spanning nearly a decade. Cheever eventually retired from professional racing competition.[2]
