Scott Welham is a club-level amateur racer with a Bronze FIA grade, the lowest rung of endurance and sportscar racing's four-tier classification. He raced in three national multiclass series across 20 starts from 2010 to 2018, mixing solo sprint events in closed-wheel machinery with shared-car endurance competition. His most recent activity came in PCA Club Racing, where he drove a Porsche in the GTA3 class.[1]
His record spans NASA from 2010 to 2016, where he took one win and five podiums across eight starts in Super Touring and Super Unlimited classes; Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA in 2021, where he ran ten rounds in the LB Cup class for Change Racing; and two PCA Club Racing starts in 2018. The single win came in NASA competition. Across all three series he recorded one victory and six podiums total.[2]
Welham typically finished behind the entry-level professionals he raced against most regularly. Mark Kvamme, a Bronze-graded driver and 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup NA Am champion, was a regular opponent whom Welham usually trailed, though he finished ahead of him twice; Terry Olson, another Bronze-graded competitor with more than forty starts across multiple professional series, was similarly a frequent rival and also beaten twice. Change Racing, his primary team in the Lamborghini series, fields established professionals including Bryan Sellers alongside its amateur roster.
