🇺🇸 Sebastian Wheldon

Sebastian Wheldon is a professional racing driver competing in single-seater formula championships across Europe and the United States. He races for Prema Racing in Italian F4, one of the strongest teams in the junior formula ladder; he also competes in Formula Regional European for MP Motorsport as part of the Andretti Global driver development program. His current focus is on the 2026 Formula Regional European season, where he sits in the championship fight.[1]

Wheldon's record spans five seasons from 2021 onwards. He began in the SKUSA SuperNationals, a multiclass karting championship, before moving to USF Juniors in 2024, where he finished third in the championship with four wins and nine podiums from a full season. He joined Italian F4 in 2025 with seven wins and ten podiums across 20 starts, then stepped up to Formula Regional European in 2026. His tally stands at 11 wins and 21 podiums from 42 starts across all indexed series.[2]

In Italian F4, Wheldon has raced regularly against professionals including the 2025 champion Kean Nakamura-Berta, whom he has beaten seven times despite usually finishing behind him in head-to-head meetings. He also has a winning record against Alex Powell, a professional with five Formula 3 starts to his name, whom he has beaten on twelve occasions. Against the more consistent opponent Maksimilian Popov, Wheldon typically finishes ahead. In Formula Regional European, a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals, he has taken two podiums from three starts in 2026.
