Steve Beck is a developing driver racing in SVRA, a national multiclass sprint championship, where he competes across its Group 10, Group 4, and Group 10/12 classes in road cars. He is in his third indexed season of competition, with twenty starts in SVRA across 2024 and 2025, and has recently made a one-off appearance in the 2026 Velocity Invitational driving a 1995 Ford NASCAR Thunderbird, where he currently sits nineteenth in the championship standings with more rounds still to come.[1]
His record in SVRA places him mid-pack among the regulars he meets most often. He typically finishes behind Carlus Gann and Ryan Thomson, both developing and club-level drivers respectively who are also regular presences in the series. Beck has beaten drivers of stronger pedigree in single meetings; he has finished ahead of Eric Johnson Jr., an entry-level professional with thirty-seven ARCA Menards West starts and three series starts, and Tom Dyer, a semi-professional FIA Silver-graded driver with extensive IMSA Pilot Challenge and GT4 America experience.[2]
