Steve Leidholdt is a developing driver racing tube-frame silhouette GT cars in SCCA's national multiclass GT2 class, splitting his time between the Majors championship and the Regionals series since 2021. He drives for himself across both programs and has added occasional starts in SVRA's Group 6 8 12 class since 2025.[1]
Across six seasons and 28 starts, Leidholdt has taken one win and five podiums, all but one of those results coming in the Regionals series. His single victory came in that regional championship, where he regularly features in the podium mix. His record against the established GT2 field shows him regularly finishing behind competitive amateurs and club-level drivers who make up the core of his usual grid, though he has on occasion beaten stronger opposition; he finished ahead of David Lecko, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded driver with 18 SVRA starts, and Barry Boes, the 2023 and 2024 SCCA Majors GT2 champion with significant Trans-Am experience. In 2026 he sits 20th in the SVRA championship standings with one round completed so far.[2]
