Thomas Conrad is a retired German racing driver who competed in the Formula Renault Eurocup during 2004. He started two races in the series for Conrad Racing but did not score a podium finish, ending his only season of recorded competition with a final classification of thirty-fourth. His average finishing position across his classified starts was seventeenth.[1]
Conrad's results place him in an amateur field; his Racer Rating of 2,895 reflects a club-level competitor. However, his two races produced individual results of note. He finished ahead of Davide Valsecchi, a Platinum-graded driver and single-seater champion, on two occasions, and on separate races also outran Julien Canal, a Silver-graded two-time champion; Mikhail Aleshin, a Platinum-graded professional; and Vitaly Petrov, another Platinum-graded driver. These were isolated instances rather than sustained competitive patterns given the brevity of his career, but they indicate that in his limited time racing Conrad was capable of beating significantly stronger drivers in single races.
