Tim Bachman is a competitive amateur racer, rated 2,527; he sits at the front of club racing and entry-level professional fields, quick enough to race against paid drivers rather than among club racers of his own level. His career on record spans a single season in 2008, consisting of one start at the SKUSA SuperNationals, where he finished thirteenth. He did not score wins or podiums in that outing.[1]

The most notable feature of Bachman's record is a single race result at the SuperNationals where he finished ahead of several significantly stronger drivers, including Dan Wheldon, an elite professional rated 5,848 who was then a race winner in the top levels of single-seater racing, and Buddy Rice, a professional-ranked driver and FIA Gold graded sportscar competitor.
