Todd Honczarenko raced at club level in NASA, a national multiclass championship where amateur and semi-professional drivers share the track across 15 classes. He drove a V8 pony car in the American Iron class from 2010 to 2015, competing for an established operation that fielded multiple drivers across the series.[1]
Over his six seasons of racing, Honczarenko started 19 times and took 7 wins and 17 podiums, finishing sixth in the 2015 NASA championship standings. His best season came early; he finished with a podium in five of the five rounds contested in 2015. He regularly faced Albert Watson, a developing-level driver with 26 NASA starts, and usually finished ahead of club-level competitor AJ Hartman, who had 28 starts in the series.[2]
