Tom McHugh competed in PCA Club Racing between 2018 and 2020, accumulating five starts across three seasons. His Racer Rating of 651 places him in the developing bracket, consistent with a driver competing at club level with limited race experience and no wins on record.[1]
McHugh's results show he was outpaced throughout his racing career. His average finishing position of eleventh masks a pattern of uncompetitive performances; across five classified starts, he finished behind every frequent rival he encountered. Against John Uglum, a 2019 PCA Club Racing GTC6 champion with FIA Bronze credentials rated at 1,774, McHugh lost all three head-to-head races. He similarly lost all three encounters with Seth Davidow and finished behind Steve Dimakos, the 2016 PCA Club Racing GTC4 champion, in all three of their shared races. His only competitive result came against Andrew Johnson, a much less experienced driver, where he secured a single finish ahead. His most recent activity in 2020 resulted in a P23 finish, after which he retired from racing.
