Tyler Fling is a competitive amateur with a Racer Rating of 2,528, placing him in the front tier of club racing; he raced at the entry end of professional fields but was outpaced by them consistently. His career spanned five seasons from 2012 to 2017, though his competitive record is thin. Across four starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals, Fling finished without a win or podium, averaging a 24th-place finish when classified.[1]

Fling's head-to-head record against his regular rivals showed him struggling against the field. He finished behind Cabot Bigham in all three shared races and managed only a single victory over Sky Finley across three encounters. His competitive context improved marginally when measured against the strongest drivers he has faced; he finished ahead of several professional and semi-professional drivers on the grid, including FIA Silver graded contenders Sebastian Alvarez and Milan Dontje, and once ran ahead of Oliver Askew, an Indy NXT champion. These results appear isolated performances rather than evidence of consistent competitiveness at that level, given his poor average finishing position and absence of podium finishes. Fling has since retired from racing.
