Sebastian Alvarez is a professional driver competing in multiclass endurance racing. FIA Silver-graded, he races primarily for DKR Engineering in the European Le Mans Series, where he drives LMP2 and LMP3 prototypes, and also competes in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship for Tower Motorsports. His career spans ten seasons from 2015 onwards, built largely through single-seater racing in his early years and a transition into prototype endurance competition since 2022.[1]

Alvarez's record shows sustained mid-field competitiveness in endurance racing without breakthrough results. Across the European Le Mans Series, he has taken one win and four podiums from 19 starts; in IMSA WeatherTech, he has two podiums from 14 starts. His strongest period came in British F4 between 2018 and 2019, where he won five races and podiumed nineteen times across 50 starts for Double R Racing, a team that has fielded elite-level talent including Mitch Evans. He stepped into single-seater racing again in 2021, taking one win from 22 GB3 starts for Hitech Grand Prix. His indexed racing now centres on endurance competition; he is currently active in the 2026 World Endurance Championship with DKR Engineering.[2]

Alvarez races regularly against entry-level professionals closely matched to his own level. He meets Josh Skelton, FIA Silver-graded with 53 British F4 starts and experience across GB3 and Le Mans Cup, on equal terms; the same applies to Bart Horsten, an entry-level professional with 43 GB3 and 26 British F4 starts. He has finished ahead of Oliver Bearman, an elite professional and double Formula 4 champion with 43 Formula 1 starts and 52 Formula 2 starts, twice in single-seater company; he has also beaten Kakunoshin Ohta, an established professional FIA Gold-graded driver with 39 Super Formula starts and 28 Super GT starts, once in endurance competition.
