Sebastian Alvarez is a semi-professional racing driver competing at FIA Silver graded level in multiclass and shared-car endurance racing. He competes primarily for DKR Engineering in the European Le Mans Series, where he drives LMP2 and LMP3 prototypes, and for Tower Motorsports in IMSA WeatherTech Championship. His rating of 4,456 places him among entry-level professionals; he has also raced single-seater championships including British F4 and GB3 for Double R Racing and Hitech Grand Prix.[1]
Alvarez's racing record spans a decade from 2015 onwards. His strongest single-seater campaign came in British F4 in 2018 and 2019, where he took five wins and nineteen podiums across fifty starts; he moved to GB3 in 2021 with one win from twenty-two starts before transitioning to endurance racing. In the European Le Mans Series from 2022 to 2026 he has scored one win and four podiums across nineteen starts, sharing cars with teammates across the LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am and LMP3 classes. He has added two podium finishes in IMSA WeatherTech from twelve starts since 2023. His 2026 season continues in the World Endurance Championship with DKR Engineering after one round.[2]
In his single-seater racing, Alvarez finished ahead of Oliver Bearman, the 2021 Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 champion and a Formula 1 driver, on two occasions, and ahead of Super Formula and Super GT driver Kakunoshin Ohta once. He remains closely matched with Josh Skelton and Bart Horsten, both FIA Silver graded entry-level professionals whom he has regularly encountered across British F4, GB3 and Le Mans Cup racing. His primary team Double R Racing has fielded over forty drivers and holds forty-seven race wins across the indexed series.
