🇬🇧 Gordon Shedden

Gordon Shedden is a professional racing driver competing in solo sprint racing in the British Touring Car Championship, the national single-class championship, for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport. He drives a touring car in a field that spans amateur through graded professional entrants, and has been active in the series since 2015.[1]

Shedden won the BTCC championship in 2016, his sole title on record. Across his 12 seasons of indexed racing from 2008 onwards, he has taken 18 wins and 54 podiums from 269 starts. The bulk of that record comes from the BTCC, where he has accumulated 17 wins and 52 podiums from 207 starts. He contested the FIA World Touring Car Cup for two seasons from 2018 to 2019, taking one win and two podiums across 60 starts with Leopard Racing Team Audi Sport, and finished 24th in the 2019 WTCR championship standings. A single shared-car endurance entry in the FIA GT Championship in 2008 and one start in the Nürburgring BMW Cup round out his career.[2]

In the BTCC he runs closely matched against professional rival Adam Morgan, and typically finishes ahead of fellow professional Aiden Moffat. His record includes 50 podium finishes ahead of Ash Sutton, a three-time BTCC champion who has also raced in international touring car competition, and nine finishes ahead of Thed Björk, the 2017 World Touring Car Championship winner. Shedden remains active in the BTCC; recent results show him competing for podium finishes into the 2026 season.
