🇬🇧 Colin Turkington

Colin Turkington is an established professional competing in British GT Championship for WSR FlexiFly, racing a shared GT4 car in a multiclass endurance grid that mixes amateur and graded professionals. He holds an FIA Gold rating. Turkington has spent the bulk of his career in the BTCC, a national single-class championship in which he drove for Team BMW across nearly a decade and a half of racing.[1]

Between 2007 and 2012 he competed in the World Touring Car Championship, taking a single win from 22 starts. His main career has been in the BTCC from 2015 to 2024, where he recorded 40 wins and 100 podiums across 295 starts. He won the BTCC championship four times; his most recent title came in 2018 with Team BMW. He currently races in British GT Championship, making his indexed debut in the series in 2026 with three starts to date.[2]

Turkington's regular BTCC opponents have included Tom Ingram, a two-time BTCC champion and established professional with 351 starts in the series, against whom Turkington has been closely matched; and Adam Morgan, a professional-graded competitor in 351 BTCC starts, whom Turkington typically finishes ahead of. He has finished ahead of Ash Sutton, a four-time BTCC champion, across their overlapping BTCC careers. His team at BMW fielded six drivers, with Ricky Collard as its strongest driver at professional level. Turkington has recently begun racing in international rallying, taking victory in an Austria-based rally championship in July 2026.
