🇯🇵 Matsuda Tsugio

Matsuda Tsugio is a professional driver who raced in German national-level endurance championships. His indexed career spans 2018 to 2019 in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, both multiclass GT endurance series run at the Nürburgring. He drove GT3 and production-based machinery for Kondo Racing, a team that fielded 23 drivers across its program and took 8 wins in this index.[1]

Matsuda made five starts in the Langstrecken-Serie across two seasons, racing the series' SP 9 Pro (GT3) and V4 and V5 production classes. He secured one podium finish in that series. He then made a single start in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019 in the SP 9 class.[2]

His regular opposition in endurance racing included Marco Wittmann, an FIA Platinum-graded established professional and 2011 FIA Formula 3 European champion with 127 DTM starts and 62 Formula 3 Euro Series starts; Matsuda typically finished behind Wittmann. He also raced frequently against Mathieu Jaminet, another established professional graded Platinum, who won the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech GTDPRO championship and took the 2025 GTP title; Matsuda usually finished ahead of Jaminet in their meetings. Matsuda beat the established professional Renger van der Zande, an FIA Platinum driver with 121 IMSA WeatherTech starts and the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech PC championship, once across their meetings.
