Christian Krognes is an established professional racing driver rated 5,095, holding FIA Gold status. He competes in multiclass endurance racing, primarily for Walkenhorst Motorsport in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across its SP 3T and SP 9 classes, alongside entries in the Nürburgring 24 Hours and GT World Challenge Europe. He drives turbocharged production-based race cars and GT3 machinery in shared-car endurance events run entirely in Germany and continental Europe.[1]

Over 16 seasons since 2010, Krognes has established himself as a consistent operator at the Nürburgring. He won the 2012 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship with LMS Engineering and has accumulated 19 wins and 43 podiums across 86 starts in that series. His record in the Nürburgring 24 Hours spans eight starts from 2019 onwards, with one podium finish; he took a podium at the 2026 running, which is still in progress. In GT World Challenge Europe, he has seven starts to his name for natural elements by Walkenhorst Motorsport.[2]

Krognes operates in a field populated by graded professionals and semi-professionals. He races regularly against Frank Stippler, a Platinum-graded professional and 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 Pro champion, and Patrick Assenheimer, a Silver-graded professional and 2019 SP 9 Pro champion, finding himself closely matched with both over multiple seasons. He has also finished ahead of Max Verstappen and Sho Tsuboi, elite drivers from Formula 1 and Super GT, though these meetings span only single occasions in endurance competition. Walkenhorst Motorsport, the team accounting for the vast majority of his starts, has fielded established professionals including Jake Dennis.
