Edoardo Mortara is an established professional racing in single-seater and sportscar championships; his primary series is Formula E, where he has raced for Mahindra Racing since 2017. He holds FIA Platinum status in endurance competition and was named 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series champion with Signature.[1]
His Formula E record spans a decade of 91 starts yielding six wins and 17 podiums. In Formula 3 Euro Series, he took ten wins and 21 podiums across four seasons, claiming the championship in his final year. He spent one season in DTM in 2018, taking two wins and five podiums for SILBERPFEIL Energy Mercedes-AMG. He has contested endurance racing intermittently; his most recent campaign was 2024 WEC, where he finished 25th in the championship standings in seven rounds for Lamborghini Iron Lynx. He is currently active in IMSA, three starts to date in 2025.[2]
Mortara races regularly against established professionals; he is closely matched with Sébastien Buemi, a four-time WEC champion and former Formula E champion, and with António Félix da Costa, the 2019 Formula E champion. He has beaten elite-level competition including Pascal Wehrlein, the 2012 Formula 3 Euro Series champion and 2024 Formula E champion, in 38 meetings, and Oliver Rowland, the 2015 Formula V8 3.5 champion and 2025 Formula E champion, in 27 encounters across their respective careers.
