🇮🇪 Alex Dunne

Alex Dunne is an elite professional single-seater racing driver competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Rodin Motorsport, as part of the Alpine Academy. He races Formula 2's multiclass grid across international circuits in both the FR1 and FR2 classes.[1]

Dunne won the 2022 British F4 championship with Hitech Grand Prix, taking eleven wins from twenty-seven starts and podiuming in seventeen races. He moved through GB3 in 2023 with five wins and seven podiums from twenty-one starts, then contested Formula 3 internationally in 2024, where he finished outside the podium positions in twenty starts. In 2022 he also raced Italian F4 simultaneously, finishing second in the championship standings with three wins and eleven podiums from eighteen starts. His early career included seven starts in ADAC Formula 4 in 2021. Since 2025 he has accumulated fifty-two Formula 2 starts with three wins and seventeen podiums, with ongoing rounds still to run in the current season.[2]

Dunne has raced regularly against established professionals who have progressed through Formula 3 and Formula 2; he runs closely matched with Gabriele Mini, the 2020 Italian F4 champion, and Dino Beganovic, who won the 2022 Formula Regional European championship. He has finished ahead of Arvid Lindblad, an elite professional, in twenty races across multiple series. In 2022 he raced against Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a generational talent now competing in Formula 1, and finished ahead of him five times in Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4.
