Pascal Wehrlein is an elite professional competing in single-seater and endurance racing, currently racing for TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team in Formula E where he holds an FIA Platinum grading. His primary focus is Formula E, where he has completed 93 starts since 2018, and he made a brief return to endurance racing in 2025 with Porsche Penske Motorsport in the World Endurance Championship.[1]
Wehrlein won the 2012 Formula 3 Euro Series as a junior driver before establishing himself in single-seater racing; he later competed in Formula 1 for Sauber across 2016 and 2017 with 39 starts. His career turned decisively toward Formula E from 2018 onwards, and in 2024 he claimed the Formula E World Championship with Porsche, the pinnacle of his racing record. Across his Formula E tenure he has taken nine wins and 22 podiums from 93 starts, making him a consistent top-tier competitor in the series.[2]
In Formula E he meets the strongest drivers in the championship regularly. He has split results with Stoffel Vandoorne, an established professional and three-time Formula E champion with 88 starts in the series, and with Robin Frijns, likewise an established professional and 2021 WEC LMP2 champion with 99 Formula E starts; both remain closely matched competitors. His record also includes isolated victories over drivers of significantly higher standing, among them Álex Palou, a four-time IndyCar champion with 112 starts in that series, and Pierre Gasly, who has raced 189 Formula 1 starts. Since 2025 Wehrlein has begun competing in the World Endurance Championship, the grid for which is currently running through 2026.
