🇩🇪 Christer Jöns

Christer Jöns is a professional racing driver competing in multiclass endurance racing at national and international level. He races primarily for Car Collection Motorsport in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a German championship where he drives Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars and GT3 machinery across 15 classes of shared-car racing. He has also competed in the 24H Series, the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the ADAC GT Masters, combining amateur and semi-professional fields with graded professionals on the same grid.[1]

Over 16 years of racing, Jöns has taken two wins and twelve podiums across 34 starts. His record centers on the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he has raced since 2010 and scored one win and eight podiums. He has contested the Nürburgring 24 Hours five times since 2019, winning once and taking two podiums. His international endurance experience includes five starts in the 24H Series between 2018 and 2024, yielding two podium finishes, and a pair of outings in the ADAC GT Masters in 2023.[2]

In the multiclass fields he races, Jöns typically finishes behind Frank Stippler, a Platinum-graded professional and 2021 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 champion with over a hundred starts in that series, while running closely matched against Klaus Abbelen, an entry-level professional and 2014 series champion who has raced extensively at that venue. The Nürburgring 24 Hours brought him briefly into competition with drivers of far greater standing; he finished ahead of both Max Verstappen and Edoardo Mortara, the first a four-time Formula 1 world champion and the second an elite-level professional with a Formula 3 European title.
