Blake Koch was an established professional competing in NASCAR's national stock car series. He spent nine seasons racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series from 2009 to 2017, taking 213 starts for Kaulig Racing, and made 11 additional starts in the NASCAR Truck Series between 2012 and 2014. His final season came in 2017, when he finished 29th in the Xfinity championship standings.[1]

Koch raced primarily on oval tracks, with 198 of his 213 Xfinity starts coming on ovals and all 11 of his Truck Series starts on ovals as well. He was a regular competitor against established and professional drivers in fields that mixed amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. Against Elliott Sadler, an established professional with 397 Xfinity starts, Koch typically finished behind him. He ran closely matched with Jeremy Clements, a professional with 557 Xfinity starts. Among his scalps were two finishes ahead of Denny Hamlin, an elite professional and multiple-series racer, and two ahead of Christopher Bell, the 2017 NASCAR Truck champion and FIA Silver graded driver who has raced in NASCAR's top three national series.[2]

Kaulig Racing, his primary employer across 66 of his 224 career starts, was a smaller operation that produced no race wins across the database index but fielded established professional AJ Allmendinger as its strongest driver. Koch remained active in business after stepping away from full-time racing in 2019, founding FilterTime, a residential air filter delivery service.
