Yasser Shahin is a Bronze-graded amateur endurance racing driver competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with The Bend Manthey, racing Porsche GT3 cars in multiclass grids. His rating of 4,565 places him among professional competitors, though his amateur categorisation reflects the structure of endurance racing, which regularly fields graded professionals and amateurs in the same race. Shahin has raced since 2019 across five indexed series, with 34 starts yielding 5 wins and 13 podiums.[1]

The bulk of his record comes from the WEC, where he has taken 2 wins and 8 podiums across 20 starts since 2024, and the Bathurst 12 Hour, where he won the 2024 edition. His first indexed season came in 2019 with a single GT World Cup appearance. He took a podium in the Asian Le Mans Series in 2023, then began competing regularly in multiclass endurance racing from 2024 onwards. He won the 24H Series GT3 class at its inaugural 2025 round and recorded a British GT Championship victory in April 2026. In his current 2026 WEC campaign, Shahin has three podiums from four rounds completed so far.[2]

He runs closely alongside François Heriau, a fellow Bronze-graded professional, in WEC and Asian Le Mans Series rounds; both finish in the upper half of their shared fields. Charlie Eastwood, a Gold-graded driver and 2025 European Le Mans Series LMGT3 champion who races at a higher level across WEC and other series, regularly finishes ahead of Shahin when they meet. Shahin has beaten two significantly more experienced drivers: Jamie Whincup, a Platinum-graded established professional with 96 Supercars Championship starts, and Philip Hanson, a Gold-graded driver with 51 WEC starts and substantial professional racing history.
