🇦🇺 Yasser Shahin

Yasser Shahin is a professional FIA Bronze-graded driver racing in international endurance championships for The Bend Manthey in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He competes in multiclass and single-class GT3 machinery shared between multiple drivers, most regularly in the WEC, the Asian Le Mans Series, and the 24-hour format races at Bathurst and in the 24H Series.[1]

His record spans five seasons from 2019 onwards, with 36 starts yielding 5 wins and 13 podiums. The WEC accounts for the bulk of his career activity, where across 22 starts he has taken 2 wins and 8 podiums. His breakthrough came in the 24-hour races, where he has won at Bathurst in 2024 and claimed outright victory in the 24H Series at the start of 2025. A single-round appearance in the British GT Championship in 2026 also returned a win. In 2026, Shahin sits seventh in the WEC championship standings with three podiums from six rounds raced so far, still competing for positions as the season continues.[2]

Shahin regularly finishes behind Charlie Eastwood, an FIA Gold professional and 2025 European Le Mans Series LMGT3 champion who races the WEC extensively. He is closely matched with François Heriau, a professional and regular opponent across WEC and the Asian Le Mans Series. His strongest results against higher-graded drivers include victories over Jamie Whincup, an established professional and Supercars Championship regular with 96 starts in that series, and Kyffin Simpson, an established professional and former Formula Regional Americas champion who has raced in IndyCar.
