Tetsuya Yamano is a professional racing driver who competed primarily in multiclass endurance racing. He was a regular and closely matched competitor against established drivers including Kazuki Hoshino, a two-time GT300 champion, and Nobuteru Taniguchi, who won three GT300 titles. He finished ahead of Katsumasa Chiyo, an FIA Gold-graded established professional, in nine meetings, and beat Yuhi Sekiguchi, an FIA Gold professional and 2021 GT500 champion, on six occasions. His final racing appearance came in 2017, when he contested two rounds of the Mazda MX-5 Cup and finished twenty-first in the season standings.[2]
