🇮🇹 Vittorio Zoboli

Vittorio Zoboli was a professional single-seater and sports car driver who raced in International Formula 3000 from 1991 to 1993 for Il Barone Rampante, then returned to competition over a decade later in the FIA GT Championship endurance series in 2003 and 2004 for Wieth Racing. His record spans 23 starts across both series.[1]

In Formula 3000, Zoboli competed against a field that mixed amateur and semi-professional drivers with established professionals and graded racers. He finished ahead of Olivier Panis once during this period; Panis would go on to race 158 Formula 1 grands prix. Zoboli also beat Vincenzo Sospiri on one occasion, a driver who would win the 1995 International Formula 3000 championship. His most frequent opponent in the category was Paul Stewart, against whom Zoboli usually finished behind. In the FIA GT Championship endurance races that followed in 2003 and 2004, he was closely matched with Jean-Marc Gounon, a Bronze-graded professional with significant experience in both GT racing and single-seaters, including nine Formula 1 starts.[2]
