Christian Fittipaldi is a semi-professional racing driver with a Racer Rating of 6,672, placing him in the elite professional band. This is the FIA's grading for sportscar and endurance racing, where it denotes a full professional competitor at the highest levels of GT and endurance motorsport. His career spanned eight seasons from 1991 to 2019, comprising 63 starts across Formula 1, Formula 3 Macau, and IMSA WeatherTech sportscar racing. Although he never reached the podium in single-seaters, his primary contribution came in endurance racing, where he won twice and recorded nine podiums across 20 IMSA starts between 2016 and 2019, competing for Mustang Sampling Racing.[1]

Fittipaldi's early career in Formula 1 ran from 1992 to 1994, when he started 40 races for Footwork without scoring points. In that single-seater period he shared grids with legendary drivers; he finished ahead of four-time Formula 1 champion Alain Prost once and ahead of two-time champion Mika Häkkinen once, and defeated Gerhard Berger three times, though these remained isolated results against much stronger competition. His stint in Formula 1 coincided with racing at the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix in 1991, where he collected two podiums from three starts for Theodore Racing.[2]

In IMSA WeatherTech competition, Fittipaldi raced predominantly against Platinum-graded professionals including multiple IMSA champions. His head-to-head records against these drivers were competitive but generally unfavourable; he finished ahead of Dane Cameron eight times in twenty shared races but fell behind Ricky Taylor, Eric Curran, and Jordan Taylor in most of their meetings. His two IMSA wins, achieved between 2016 and 2019, represent his peak competitive period. His final outing came in 2019, when a P42 finish in one IMSA round concluded his active racing career.
