🇺🇸 Ricky Taylor

Ricky Taylor is an established professional racing in American and international prototype endurance championships. A Platinum-graded driver, he races for Wayne Taylor Racing in IMSA WeatherTech, where he drives DPi and GTP prototypes in a multiclass series shared by amateurs and professionals. He has also contested the World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series.[1]

Taylor has won three IMSA WeatherTech titles across eight seasons of championship drives, first in 2016 and then consecutively in 2017 and 2020 before a fourth title in 2021 and a fifth in 2022. He holds 26 wins and 57 podiums across 120 IMSA WeatherTech starts, establishing him as one of the series' most successful drivers. His record in WEC spans 18 starts with one podium, and he made a single-car appearance in European Le Mans Series in 2021. Away from endurance racing, he started once in Star Mazda Championship in 2006. He entered the 2026 season across both IMSA and WEC, where he currently sits 18th in the WEC standings after two rounds.[2]

Taylor competes regularly against drivers of equivalent standing. He is closely matched with Renger van der Zande, a 2016 IMSA WeatherTech champion and Platinum-graded professional, and with Dane Cameron, a three-time IMSA champion who has also won in European Le Mans Series. His record also includes wins against stronger opposition; he has finished ahead of Alex Palou, a five-time IndyCar champion and elite professional, and Pascal Wehrlein, the 2024 Formula E champion. Wayne Taylor Racing, the team fielding his car, operates at an established level in the championship, having won 90 races with a roster including established professional Marcus Ericsson.
