🇫🇷 Michel Trollé

Michel Trollé was an established professional racing driver who competed in single-seater formula racing from 1986 to 1988. He raced primarily for GBDA Motorsport, a small team that also fielded established professional Pierluigi Martini during this period, and took his sole win in International Formula 3000.[1]

Trollé's indexed career spans 20 starts across Formula 3 Macau and International Formula 3000, a pair of single-class championships that drew fields mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. He accumulated five podiums overall, with two coming in his final season of 1988, when he finished 13th in the International Formula 3000 championship standings across six rounds. His single victory came in International Formula 3000.[2]

Racing regularly against Pierluigi Martini and Andy Wallace, both of whom he was closely matched with throughout his career, Trollé proved capable against stronger opposition. He finished ahead of Jean Alesi, the 1989 International Formula 3000 champion, on six occasions, and beat Pierre-Henri Raphanel, an established professional with 32 International Formula 3000 starts, the same number of times.
