Colin Braun is an American racing driver who has built his career primarily in sports car competition after early experience in NASCAR's Truck and Xfinity Series. He came up through the American racing ranks and established himself as a capable prototype driver, winning the Prototype Challenge championship in both 2014 and 2015 in what is now the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. That foundation carried him into top-class prototype racing, including a role on the winning entry at the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona, a highlight that underscored his standing among American endurance racing talent. He currently competes for Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.[1]

Across his IMSA WeatherTech career, Braun has recorded 33 starts, 3 wins, and 10 podium finishes, without a series championship to date. His Racer Rating of 4,722 places him 650th among active drivers on a scale where the leading competitors in the world reach figures between roughly 10,000 and 11,500, reflecting a solid but not elite tier of performance relative to the sport's top names. In the 2026 season, he has made one start without a win or podium, sitting P173 in the standings. Now in an active phase of his career with Meyer Shank Racing, Braun continues to compete at the top level of North American sports car racing, carrying forward the experience built over more than a decade in prototype competition.[2]
