Tristan Viidas was a professional endurance racer competing in national German multiclass championships. Graded FIA Silver, he raced primarily for Rutronik Racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across six seasons from 2016 to 2021, driving BMW one-make cup cars and turbocharged production-based machinery in shared-driver endurance races that mixed amateur and professional grids. He also contested the Nürburgring 24 Hours for BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR and made a single-seater appearance in IMSA Prototype Challenge, piloting an LMP3 prototype.[1]
Viidas took five wins and twelve podiums across nineteen Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie starts, and won the 2019 championship with BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA in a Mercedes-AMG. He claimed victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2019 and added another podium there in 2020. His record across all series totalled six wins and fourteen podiums from twenty-three starts. He was closely matched with multiple-time Cup 5 champion Michael Schrey, a regular rival graded FIA Silver, and typically finished ahead of fellow entry-level professional Michael Fischer, a 2019 24H Series GT4 champion. Viidas finished ahead of Nico Müller, an established professional graded Platinum with extensive DTM and Formula E experience, and Kyle Kirkwood, an elite Gold-graded driver and three-time American single-seater champion who has raced IndyCar and Indy NXT.[2]
