Michael Schrey is an entry-level professional competing in shared-car endurance racing, with FIA Silver grading. He races for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport across three multiclass championships based around the Nürburgring: the national Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the international 24H Series, and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. His machinery spans BMW cup cars and GT4 machinery across multiple classes in each series.[1]
Schrey has won back-to-back titles in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in 2016 and 2017, driving for Bonk Motorsport and mathilda racing respectively. In the 24H Series, a multiclass endurance championship mixing amateurs with graded professionals across 13 countries, he has taken five wins and six podiums from eight starts. His Nürburgring 24 Hours record spans nine starts with two wins and eight podiums. Across all indexed racing, he has 37 wins and 66 podiums from 105 starts since 2010. He is currently active in the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he has taken a podium so far.[2]
In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he has made the vast majority of his starts, Schrey regularly finishes ahead of Heiko Eichenberg, a multiple class champion who has raced over a hundred times in the series. He is closely matched with David Griessner, a semi-professional Silver-graded driver and four-time series champion. He has finished ahead of Jake Dennis, an established professional and 2023 Formula E champion, and Jordan Pepper, a Gold-graded driver with extensive GT World Challenge and IMSA racing, though each once across their respective meetings.
