🇩🇪 Thomas Jäger

Thomas Jäger is a Gold-graded endurance racing driver who competed primarily in multiclass endurance championships in Germany and across Europe from 2005 to 2021. His main career was built in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he made 61 starts for HWA AG and its successors, racing BMW one-make cup cars, GT4 machinery and GT3 prototypes across a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. He also contested the 24H Series, a multinational endurance championship spanning 13 countries, in which he raced GT4 and silhouette cars.[1]

Jäger won the 24H Series championship in 2019 with Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, taking two wins and four podiums across five starts. In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, his primary series, he accumulated five wins and 30 podiums over 61 starts. A brief Formula Renault Eurocup campaign in 2011 yielded six starts, and his only World Touring Car Championship appearance came in 2005, when he made eight starts for Ford Hotfiel Sport and finished 26th in the championship standings.[2]

In the endurance fields where he spent most of his career, Jäger typically finished ahead of Heiko Eichenberg, a fellow entry-level professional who won multiple Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie titles across different classes, and usually behind Michael Schrey, a Silver-graded professional and two-time Cup 5 champion. He occasionally beat much stronger drivers; he finished ahead of Edoardo Mortara, a Platinum-graded elite professional and former Formula 3 Euro Series champion, and of Nico Müller, a Platinum-graded established professional with extensive DTM and Formula E experience, though such results were rare in their respective meetings.
